 YOU DREAMED OF A NEW LOVE, I DREAMED OF AN ETERNAL LOVE Although seemingly hard to approach, perhaps due to being recognized or due to his cold and aloof demeanor, Hikaru is actually a pleasant guy once you start talking to him. Since he was youth, he was taught by his father to be courteous to everybody, that manners will help you advance forward, that they will help you close deals. This habit has stuck with him. Due to the venomous nature of the political world and the "dog eat dog" world of show business, Hikaru knows better than to become speak out and cause trouble for everybody. However, by extension, a lot of the relationships he has are shallow and skin deep and he is desperate for real friendship. At this stage, he will literally befriend anyone who can offer him something genuine. Be warned though, he is a pretty good judge of character. His sarcastic humor is either loved or absolutely despised depending on who he is with. As such, he is either "that quiet guy who only speaks when he has something to say" or the funny guy who slots in a joke here and there. Don't be fooled by the hugs or handshakes you see on the covers of magazines and newspapers. Both politicians and actors who are seen being all friendly to each other may actually be resent and dislike each other for one reason or another. Hikaru is no exception. Due to his own late start, Hikaru is quite envious and resentful of people who were able to get onto the fast track to accomplishing their dreams, somewhat hypocritical considering it was nepotism that got him onto the fast track in the world of civilian politics. However jealousy does not determine the difference between acquaintance and enemy. Simply employing underhanded tactics to get what you want is fair play in Hikaru's book but he does dislike unnecessary cruelty. If he sees someone beating on a defenseless person, animal or whatever, expect that to stick with him and for him to intervene as well. What is romance, really? Sure, he's been in a few of those sappy romance flicks and he enjoys romantic novels or manga but besides that, he knows little of it. He has never experienced it for himself and every date he has ever been on was arranged by his plotting father, none of which have blossomed into anything meaningful or significant. In fact, the only major "romantic" relationship he has known is his parents and even then, neither of them seemed very happy. He may not be an expert on love but at the very least, he knows that a couple should be happy. All in all, he is looking for somebody who can make him happy and in return, he can do the same. Oh, he is a smoker too but is willing to quit if the right woman comes along!

'EY I'M HERE TO PLOT W U BRAH R U REDI!!! B) so idk what their relationship'd be like but i honestly think they'd be fun and interesting to thread some time bc they're p different both personality and background/lifestyle-wise!? like, where hikaru is aloof, yuzu's hella friendly; where hikaru is an actor, yuzu's nothing more than a manual worker; etc. maybe some sort of friendship, onesided from yuzu's side or not?? she can be annoying bc she's loud and vulgar and sometimes ignorant, but she IS genuine and good-natured, and the only time she really 'lies' is when she's being sarcastic or mischievous.
if nothing else tho!! i think yuzu'd be the type to, if she ever spots hikaru on the street one evening, just ditch work and sneak out so she'd be able to ask hikaru for his autograph and stuff i mean, OMG CELEBRITY AMIRITE!! and she'd end up really really wanting to hangout w him bc who knows when she'd ever be able to run into a celebrity again pfft. idk how it'd go from there but hey add/subtract/deny anything kk!!

yes, yes, yes, you know i'm totally up for this. hikaru might not be used to how crude and vulgar yuzu can be but at the very least, he will prefer loud and boisterous as opposed to the sycophantic sweet nothing ramblings of a dishonest person. They may not be the kind of people who would get along immediately but I think it could happen and the contrast between the two is interesting. if she annoys him, it would be in the 'good' way if that makes that sense lol. we could put these two in a thread just to see how things would turn out. let me know what you think <3

HARU & MISHIMA HIKARU - haru here made his claim to fame as a child actor, so he's pretty knowledgeable about the business. he's also a model, but he still dabbles in acting every once in a while, so maybe they met on the set of some show/movie/whatever. haru definitely would find hikaru easy to be around, since they have fairly similar personalities. he'd probably gravitate towards hikaru just because he's not loud and obnoxious. i'd also say haru could give hikaru tips on how to succeed, but hikaru is straight, and haru isn't that kind without sex motivation... |

I think Suki could offer MISHIMA HIKARU some genuine friendship. Her main positive trait is amiable, after all - she's easy to get along with, kind, and understanding, so even if took some time, Hikaru and her could get to a point of trust and mutual respect. They might have tiffs now and again because of her stubbornness, but I think it would get worked out? Maybe have them meet in a thread, and see where it goes from there? :v |

omg perf ahhh! they'd be hilar and great together and if u ever need someone to drag hikaru anywhere uhh, 'fun,' yuzu's ur gal!! 8>! but ya i think a thread rn would be great, should we just go w the 'seeing him while she's at work and then ditching work' idea or do you prefer something else?? i'm a'ight w anything tbh and am fine w starting the thread too, just lemme know!!!

All things considered, I think Hikaru might be happy just to know that he has a friend that he can look forward to talking to if they should ever end up on the same set in the future. Just two guys who talk to each other because there's not really anyone else around. As far as the advice goes, Hikki might be too proud to take pointers from someone younger than him so it might work out for the best that Haru is more inclined to stay quiet lol.
Totally, I can see them getting along. She doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would criticize him for his sudden shift in career choice (i didn't mention it in the plotter but he hates that!). Hell, I can even see Hikaru asking her for piano lessons sometime down the road once they have become closer friends. But like you say, it is best to thread it out and see where it goes from there. So I am totally up for one now. Would you like to start it or should I? Is there any place in particular they would be most likely to meet?
Yeah, I think the idea where she decides to skip out on work because she saw Hikaru would be the most plausible. And it'd be really cool if you started the thread! /font]

MISHIMA HIKARU sounds awesome! That'd be really cute. I don't mind starting it at all, but I'm not sure where we should have them meet; maybe a coffee shop and they just end up sitting across from each other? orrrr they could literally bump into each other at a park or something, or... honestly anything else :v let me know what you're up for and I'll toss up a first post! |

i think it really depends on whether suki would recognize hikaru if they were sitting across from each other. if not, i think bumping into each other would work the best but really, it's up to you! i am good for anything!
