| the coals are beginning to glow when it's all said and done, we'll shine like the sun
Fortunately, the rag and alcohol had worked. At least it was good enough for the black to set to work fixing it. Emir dropped the towel on the ground. He wiped his hand on his shirt watching at Hide began moving around. It looked like he’d had enough with his poor care taker skills. Well he HAD warned the man he had no idea what he was doing. The worst he’d ever gotten was a cut on his finger from slicing a carrot wrong. It had been a long cut but nothing too serious. His pain threshold was pretty low. He liked avoiding it after all. Emir’s eyes followed Hide’s retreating form until he heard the door close. That was an easy enough request.
He supposed if Hide was fucked up, his clothes were probably in a worse state. Hopefully bleach would take care of it. He’d think about doing laundry later though. Right now it was time to find something his companion could wear. Easy enough right? Sure! He had pretty loose clothing stashed somewhere right? There’s was bound to be some things he wore when it was laundry day or ‘bum around the house and stuff your face’ day. “Uuuuhh….?” He stared at his closet before beginning to dig through the top shelves where he had folded some of his work out clothing. He pulled out a worn sweatshirt, the grey dye was faded a bit but it was soft and probably bug right? He didn’t remember how he’d acquired it anymore. He help up to his chest, quietly smirking at the fact that it was actually bigger than the last time he had used it. What a delightful little ego boost. Hehe.
Emir shook his head. No focus. He had an irritable knife man in his bathroom and would have preferred to not piss him off any more than he already was. He supposed this would do. It might be a wee bit tight on hide but at least it was warm? Eh whatever. Emir then began trying to find the biggest pair of basketball shirts he had. The elastic in them would accommodate Hide for sure. It took his a couple of minutes to decide on which one he wanted but he finally settled on a pair. He nabbed a pair of socks while he was at it before neatly folding both the shorts and sweatshirts and picking them up to make his delivery. “These should do!” he called out, peeking into the bathroom before moving onwards.
He found him in the kitchen. “Here.” The pinkette said, setting the clothes next to the alcohol. Emir didn’t let the man struggle too long. “Fourth drawer.” While Hideo gabbed his beer he rummaged through the pantry for a plastic bag. After a few moments he managed to pull out a large Ziploc before looking over at the black. “Still want that ice? And you’re not uh- feeling lightheaded or anything?” Emir asked wondering if he would have to hover around the man a bit longer.

He flinched when he'd heard Emir suddenly near him, his stomach muscles tensing rather than his shoulders -which just made his side hurt but EVERYTHING at this point was making his fuckin body hurt. Maybe with the alcohol, mixed with the pain killers, it would do a better job. Hide pulled out the fourth drawer as the man had mentioned, and dug around for the bottle opener until he'd found it. Once the bottle cap was popped off, he brought it to his lips before he gave the man his attention once more. Swallowing a pair of decent swigs, he lowered the glass and glanced over at the pinkette, then to the clothes in his arms, then back up at him again. His eyes narrowed, "It was just a little blood." Hideo had replied, acting as if Emir was weird for thinking it to be a big deal, but truthfully he did feel a little uneasy. That could have just been from all the stitching though. He didn't think it to be a huge problem. "I'll take the ice." That he could still use, and wouldn't deny it if Emir got him some. Hideo took another swig from the beer, reaching out with his free hand to take the clothes from Emir before he sauntered to the living room. "Thanks." Rare a thing to hear, but he it didn't bother him to say so to him now. He was glad he wasn't being kicked out, at least. Hideo set the beer down on an end table, tossed the shorts on the couch and tried not to raise his arms or move his upper body too much while he carefully slipped on the sweater. Of course, it wasn't as well fitting as he would have wanted a hoodie to be, but it was fine. So long as he didn't raise his arms, which he hoped not to, you wouldn't see his forearms. "You still don't have a security system set up." He'd noticed, since his sneaking in still hadn't prompted an alarm, and therefore the cops soon after. He still needed a key, but he wasn't bothering Emir about it since it was just as easy to break in. If he wasn't going to get a security system he might as well take advantage of it. EMIR KOURI | ? | the coals are beginning to glow when it's all said and done, we'll shine like the sun
Just like the last time they had met, Hideo had no qualms in making himself comfortable in someone else’s home. It came so naturally to him. He took the beer case and shoved it into the fridge, trying to keep himself occupied. If he tried making eye contact his gaze would inevitably drift downwards to the wound on the black’s torso, and he didn’t want to stare. “As long as you aren’t going to pass out if I’m not paying attention.” Emir retorted with a shrug, throwing an annoyed glance at the man in return. Oh yes that would have been a thrill! Coming out of the shower and finding Mr. Macho Man pass the fuck out in his home and bleeding from his head.
He nodded once more, pulling open the freezer and sticking his hand in the ice to scoop it out into the bag. The pink turned to look over at Hide’s retreating figure hearing the thanks. He paused, maybe a little too long, before blurting out a response. “No problem.” Cue the cheesy smile as he looked back into the freezer, proud of a job well done. Emir zipped the bag shut and picked up a few ice cubs that had fallen on the floor. With ease the man simple nudged the stray ice underneath the fridge. “This weekend someone’s coming in to set it up for me.” He explained moving over to Hide to drop off the ice bag. He looked over him stifling a snicker at how the clothes fit him. “It hasn’t been that long since your last visit anyway.” The model commented. He was busy during the week after all. Balancing classes and work was difficult enough as it is. Security systems and handymen could wait until the weekend when he was actually free.
Still, even with a security system installed he had a feeling he would still find Hideo in his apartment without warning. Especially if he handed over a key or a security code. Emir had had enough time to begrudgingly come to accept this fate. He supposed it wasn’t all that bad. It wasn’t like he was a terrible guest anyway. So far he hadn’t brought along an unwanted company, thank god. And he’d bought beer which was cool of him. When was the last time he’d had a guest that had brought him alcohol? Never that’s when. “Since you’re a bit more functional now I’m showering. We can discuss my home’s security later.” Now that the stab wound was taken care of Emir no longer had something more important to focus on. Now it was just all him and his grody appearance.

He listened to Emir talk from the kitchen as he got ice. The noise mildly hurt his ears, but he dealt with it and didn't say anything. After tossing the towel to the floor beside the couch he put on the shorts and crawled onto the couch. He felt a little like death, but he knew he'd feel worse tomorrow. Sore from all the fighting, and if he was lucky there wouldn't be bruises on his face. He needed his face. After turning tp lay on his back, he looked to Emir once the man entered the living room. His eyes narrowed at the snicking, but with his arms up over his head, folded behind him, it was more apparent the sweatshirt didn't fit him. It wasn't his fault Emir was a damn shrimp in comparison. Weren't models supposed to be tall? Whatever. Hide took the bag of ice from him, but refused to sit up. He lifted the sweater, and carefully set it down just beneath the line of stitches. "So. Someone could have broken in by now." Someone who wasn't him obviously, "If you get killed it won't be my fault." Even though it was his job to prevent that very thing from happening, but come on, it's not like he could be in multiple places at once. He didn't think Emir wanted him living here so. Wincing slightly as the ice touched his skin, the freezing cold a bit of a shock to his senses at first, he looked up at Emir once more before he walked off to go 'shower'. "Don't drown." He muttered flatly, teasing him obviously but his voice was so bland and tired it came off as a harsher sort of sarcasm. Could anyone blame him for being exhausted however? He didn't exactly have the best day. Maybe now when Emir came back though he wouldn't look like a sexual deviant. His hair looked funny all gelled back like that. Hideo held the ice to his side with one hand, while he reached over to grab his beer with the other. It probably wasn't smart to mix alcohol with pain killers, but he'd done it many times before. And only puked once. He considered getting up to snoop around the man's things, if only to get something to eat, but he felt tired as hell. He decided then to just stay on the couch. It didn't take very long before it became a task to try and keep his eyes open. For some reason feeling a bit woozy even while laying down. EMIR KOURI | ? MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

| the coals are beginning to glow when it's all said and done, we'll shine like the sun
His amusement didn’t go over well but he was past the point of caring. He watched his patient shrugging his shoulders at the response. “Stop trying to make me paranoid.” The pink replied as he left to groom himself. He waved off the black’s warning, picking up the towel he had grabbed to throw at Hideo and forgotten about. A long hot shower would do his nerves some good. It felt like he shifted onto auto pilot after he shut the door. Emir stripped down and simply stepped into the shower, cursing softly at the cold water before relaxing as the water gradually warmed up. He scrubbed his body hard, staring at the tiled wall as he worked. The minutes ticked by and the model zoned out, standing under the hot water long after he had finished rinsing.
The shower was turned off and he moved about, shivering a little before quickly drying himself off and attempting to dry off his hair. The blow drier helped counteract some of the initial cold thankfully. Once satisfied, the pinkette made his way back into his room to change into something he could sleep in. He picked up a stray pair of shorts and old T-shirt. Emir stretched his arms above his head before making his way to the kitchen, sparing a look at the man occupying his couch. Now that he was warm and clean he was going t help himself to some beer. “Thank you for the drinks.” He said as he opened the fridge and pulled out a bottle for himself. It took him a moment to locate the bottle opened but soon enough a soft hiss was heard as it escaped the bear bottle.
Quietly, he moved back to the living room to check on Hideo. He approached the couch, doing his best to stay silent while eyeing the other. “You ok?” Emir asked tentatively, glancing down at the ice then back at the man. Had been gone for too long? The black seemed pretty normal to him. He wasn’t gasping for breath or writhing in pain. “You conscious even?” he continued before taking a sip from his drink. “By the way, I’ll need your contact information if you want to get paid.” Emir stated nonchalantly. Maybe if he talked about Hide’s paycheck it’d be easier to get a reaction out of the man. If not, he could always toss a throw blanket on him and figure it all out in the morning.

It was good if he was making Emir paranoid. He lived too freely anyway, and for someone with plenty of nice things to steal he needed to get his shit together. Hide was jealous, but wasn't going to admit it. If he had nice things, a nice place, supportive parents, he'd do anything to protect it all. Hide would kill to protect all of it. He dosed off with the ice pack against his side. He hadn't even realized it himself until he heard the sound of Emir's voice in the kitchen, his senses coming back to him slowly. The ice pack was practically melted, and soaking wet in the hand he'd been holding it with. He opened his eyes, his dark hues scanning the room before he shut them once more and furrowed his brow. The familiar hiss of a cap being taken off of a beer bottle was a firmer reminder of where he was, but his head still swam. That uncomfortable sensation of his entire body feeling as if it weighed a ton, kept him from moving much or trying to get up. Though the sound of Emir's voice got closer, as his footsteps moved from the kitchen to the living room. Hide winced, his stitches burning as his upper body had tensed, and even though his ribs felt fairly numb thanks to the ice it didn't prevent all forms of pain. He opened his eyes just enough to look up at Emir, his vision fuzzy as hell, but he could just make out the pink head of hair. He'd completely forgot about contact information to give him, but there wasn't much he could give honestly. Emir couldn't come to his place. It was hardly ever safe there, and it was small. He wasn't about to get made fun of by a male model. "Why would you need contact information? Just give me cash." The raven haired man replied lazily, his voice just barely above a whisper before he shut his eyes once more just to listen to his reply. He'd seen the beer in the man's hand before he closed his eyes. Hide was less willing to give him any real information on him because his little gift was good enough. "You're welcome, by the way."EMIR KOURI | ? MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

| the coals are beginning to glow when it's all said and done, we'll shine like the sun
Emir took a good swig of his beer. He had considered going out tonight. One last intense social gathering before he became a recluse for the weekend. That didn’t seem like it was happening anymore. He wasn’t up for it after the scare Hideo had put him through. And anyway, it wasn’t like there were any crazy parties going down today. A glance at his phone after showering had confirmed that. The pink stared down at his companion, tilting his head curiously. Maybe the beer and pain killers had finally knocked Hideo out. Actually, should he have actually drunk anything on pain killers? Wasn’t that bad? As he spoke his fear dissipated. The guy was responsive enough there shouldn’t be any problems.
He didn’t like being talked back to. “Alright smartass, how do I give you cash if I can’t call you to come pick it up?” He wasn’t about to let Hideo saunter in whenever he wanted and demand payment. It would’ve been easier if he could simply make the transfer from his computer. But he needed bank information for that. “You’re not going to be here 24/7 and I’m not gonna have cash 24/7 understand?” he added before taking a sip of his drink. Honestly. Why did the black insist on complicating everything? If he wasn’t so afraid of having his ass handed to him again he would’ve kicked him by now. Also if he wasn’t currently laying half-conscious on Emir’s couch. Ugh, it was so much easier to be mad at him when he wasn't injured.
The model held back a sigh mustering the will to reply kindly. “Thank you. It tastes great.” Was that sarcastic? Whatever, he was drinking it right? Of course it was great, or as good as beer could be. A couple of years back he would’ve refused to even take a sip of the stuff. It was an acquired taste, that or he just really needed the cheap alcohol and had settled on beer. “You want more ice by the way?” he added turning away from a couch to pull up a chair. He doubted the black would be getting up anything soon.

Hideo wanted to throw something at him, while his body wasn't exactly in the best shape. He was drowsy as all hell now thanks to the meds mixed with the alcohol, and perhaps in addition to the mild concussion. It was all just bad news, and he felt so worn out, if he were to have to get up Emir would surely be dead. He sighed, dismally, and rested his head back on the couch as he listened to Emir talk. The black haired man shut his eyes since he nearly had no choice. His whole head felt like a heavy brick, and his eyes were almost as heavy. It almost made him laugh to hear the pinkette's thank you however. The weirdo. "120-555-1220." He muttered slowly, forcing himself to peek at the man as he heard footsteps walking away from him. Was he listening at all? Hide huffed once more, rolling his eyes until he closed them once more. "I'll leave you my number." He should have planned to give it to him anyway, since they were working together now. "You can use it to message or call if something happens, but only if it's an emergency."He swallowed thickly and opened his eyes enough to see. "I use it for business mostly, so the line needs to stay open when it comes to calls. Are you listening?" It felt like he was talking to a child. An annoying, pink haired, drama queen of a child. "For the record, if you didn't have such a comfortable couch, maybe I wouldn't sneak in as often."EMIR KOURISo so sooooo sorry this took so long. Emir couldn’t distinguish well his companion’s muttering. Instead he chose to not bother and settle down in the chair he’d pulled up before focusing his attention on Hide who was too tired to act. The fact that he was practically stuck on the couch reassured Emir, just a little. Maybe it was why his words were getting bolder as the minutes ticked on by. After all, demanding things didn’t really fly with Hide from what he could tell so far. But he couldn’t get up to threaten him or walk out in such a shitty state. The pink rolled his eyes at the other. He wasn’t a child. It wasn’t like he’d become dependent of the guy. He’d been on his own for this long and had managed to be fine, the hit on him notwithstanding. “Yes, yes of course you’re ‘side hustle’ or whatever you call it.” Emir replied waving off the black’s concerns.
The model had been looking at his nails, checking for stray dirt underneath his fingernails when Hideo had raised his voice slightly. “Yes! Don’t call ever unless being attacked, got it.” He leaned back in his chair, resting an arm behind the back and watching Hide again. Honestly, he wasn’t stupid. The fact that he thought so little of him was insulting. Especially after everything he had done for the man tonight! Emir made a face at his body guard. “That’s got to be the worse excuse for breaking into someone’s home ever.” The pink stated sourly.
The pinkette glanced around for a clock before frowning at the time. He hadn’t realized how late it’d gotten while taking care of his body guard. It had been a process. He wasn’t sure how he was still standing after such a horrible sight. He looked back at Hideo grimacing for a moment. As much as he hated the idea of the man sleeping over in his home he couldn’t exactly throw him out. Firstly, Emir probably wouldn’t get far trying to lift him off the couch. And secondly, because the man was injured pretty badly. He didn’t want to worsen the progress he had made with stitching himself back together. Though he doubted he would want dinner. The thought sickened him for a moment. Food after a pretty terrible slice on the stomach? Yeah, no thanks. It also felt like he would be rewarding Hide for arriving which he wanted to avoid. He would fight the issue as long as he could, Hideo would to become a permanent house guest! “What’re you gonna do now? Pass out again or try to chug down a bit more beer first?” he asked, setting down his now empty beer bottle o the floor.
