He didn't particularly like school very much and was pretty shocked that it wasn't canceled yet due to the coming storms and the fucking president telling everyone to leave or die, basically. Whatever, classic school. They never cancel until the last minute, and expect you to somehow get to school in ridiculous conditions. Whatever. He wasn't bitted. Anyway, yes, Takumi was walking home from school. It was a normal street he walked down on the daily, his typical walk. All of the sudden, the sky broke and thunder clapped and the wind picked up and rain poured down. Momentarily, he was blinded by the thunder, it causing the colors to black out his vision. The delayed reaction caused him to get wetter significantly moreso than if he hadn't waited until he could see. Damn thunder. When his vision cleared, he ran to the nearest covered area, which was basically a covered part of the street. Standing there huddled over, arms around his middle, he was waiting impatiently for the rain to stop. His clothes were soaked, his blonde hair was sticking to his face. He hated storms, thunder specifically; every time thunder struck he closed his eyes, since he couldn't see, and it made him very wary to walk home. Takumi hoped his parents decided to get the hell out of town before it got any worse. CODED BY ELECTRIC

| the coals are beginning to glow when it's all said and done, we'll shine like the sun
The evacuation notice had put him a bit on edge. He didn’t usually doubt them but it was also storm season. Last year the storms hadn’t been that bad. Hell, Emir could ever recall a time in his life where his family evacuated and the damage was completely minor. Still he was no meteorologist even though he knew they were wrong all the time. The pink frowned still debating on what his next move would be. After all, he had plans and it didn’t look like they were about to be cancelled anytime soon. This was a chance to make a lot of good connections, and would probably be good for his career. But, Emir had no desire to drown or die in a typhoon if it EVEN got that bad.
The model sighed before flinching at the sudden crack of thunder. “Shit…” he hissed gad e ha prepared at least. The man fumbled with his transparent umbrella, quickly raising it over his head to protect him from the incoming thunder storm. The flash of lightning and the immediate crack of thunder right after made the hairs on his neck tingle. Usually he rather enjoyed storms. It was always much needed relief after a long bout of heat, but he was also usually indoors to enjoy them. Being outside and at risk to get electrocuted wasn’t so enjoyable.
He ran a hand through his hair, drowning at how it was starting to frizz up. All the humidity or something. Still, it would be best to get home and fix this mess. He didn’t need to be walking around looking like a clown. With that in mind, he quickened his pace trying to avoid huge puddles on the sidewalk. The street emptied out as soon as the rain started. Aside from a couple other lucky citizens that had prepared beforehand, the street was empty. He noticed a lone teenager huddling under an overhang. He said nothing until he noticed it was a blonde. “You look like a drowned cat, kid.” He stated once he was within an ear shot. He looked the kid over, noting the school uniform. “Where are you headed? You can bum a ride with me.” he added feeling sorry for the drenched kid. Where were his friends anyway? Didn’t high schoolers usually travel in packs? According to Emir’s experience they did.

Takumi froze until the blackness melted away and he sighed. He really needed to get home, where he could just curl up in bed and sleep out the storm, rather than be caught in it. The kid glanced up at the sky, trying to see if the rain was going to stop any time soon, so maybe he could actually get home (but of course it probably wasn't). Naturally, he glanced left then right, catching glimpse of a man with baby-pink hair walking towards him. The man approached and commented on his current state of drowned-ness, when he spoke his voice made pink zig-zags across his vision. Huh. Weird, Takumi thought. Normally, people's voices didn't correspond with their colors. Whatever.
The man then asked if he'd like to 'bum a ride with him' - Takumi could only assume that he meant under his umbrella. He pondered for a moment whether or not this would be the best idea, considering the whole strangers thing. But, he looked at the sky and noticed even darker clouds looming in. So, Takumi decided, 'why the hell not?' and went for it. "I mean sure, as long as you're not like....a serial killer or something then we're good," he responded, his own mango-colored spots hanging in the air, then stepped out from under the overhang under this new face's umbrella. Cool. CODED BY ELECTRIC

| the coals are beginning to glow when it's all said and done, we'll shine like the sun
He wasn’t offended when the blonde eyed him with suspicion. He was significantly older than the teenager and any person with common sense would’ve been a little skeptical of his intentions. Still, he didn’t push it. He only thought it would be nice to offer. He offered a small laugh at the comment. “Nah, I’m too pretty for that business. I work in the opposite kind of industry.” He replied. “Well, I guess opposite is a bit inaccurate. I’m not police officer or doc.” He continued with a shrug. “Modeling is more my gig.” Emir clarified before glancing up at the sky as he heard more rumbling. Fierce, black clouds were rolling overhead and it seemed like the rain falling wasn’t going to calm down anytime soon.
“Where’s your friend anyway? Could’ve bummed an umbrella off of them. Even better could’ve hit up a cute girl with one instead of sitting under an overhang.” Emir began attempting to make conversation with the teenager. As he walked he grimaced the puddles from before unavoidable now. By the time he got back to his apartment his shoes would be squishing. Curse this stinking rain! Maybe something good would happen tomorrow though. After all this was some good karma for him right? Helping out strangers was automatic good karma from the universe. At least, that had been the explanation a friend had given him. It could’ve been bullshit though. They’d been drunk at the time and Emir was probably well on his way to joining them “Oh sorry. Lead the way kid. Err-” he paused before giving out his name. “Name’s Emir by the way. You?”

He didn't know why, but the fact that he was a model made all of the sense in the world and explained his demeanor that was...I dunno...flamboyant maybe? He couldn't think of the word to label him as at that moment in time, but he'd get there someday he was sure. "That's cool," he mumbled, mango invading the pinkness hovering just out of his reach. Walking on, the guy tried making conversation, asking about his friends. "Friends?" Truth was, Takumi didn't really have any friends -- not many, anyway. So, of course, he made up some bullshit lie to try and make it seem like he actually had some sort of life. "Oh, they were just busy today. Club stuff, I guess." He didn't really care about not having friends, it was honestly better that way. Less likely that people would find out about his color issue.
Then, the man asked his name and told him his. Emir. What an interesting name. "Ozawa Takumi," he replied. Might as well, if he were going to kill him he should at least know his name. "And I don't live too much farther, don't worry...straight ahead and then a left up by the convenience mart and you're basically there." He assured him. Takumi was ready to get out of this storm and into his house where he could cower in private. Then, like clockwork another thunder clap sounded and this time, Takumi lost his composure and jumped out of his skin. Eyesight being blinded yet again. "Damn storm," he mumbled again, taking a couple deep breaths to A) calm his heart and B) to try and make the blackness fade faster. CODED BY ELECTRIC

Emir grinned down at the blonde, rather proud of his job. It paid rather well when he actually had work. “Haha, thanks!” he replied smiling brightly. He frowned at the student, “Club activities with this weather?” he asked, as if on cue thunder rumbled overhead. He threw a sympathetic glance at the blonde remembering he was still sopping wet from the rain. “Hopefully they won’t get caught in this nasty weather afterwards.” He added with a shrug, happy he didn’t have many previous arrangements to tend to.
“Nice to meet you Takumi.” The model nodded in understanding looking down the street and attempting to locate the convenience store. It was clear Emir wasn’t the serial killer, but there was no way for sure to tell if Takumi wasn’t either. It would probably be better to be safe than sorry. Emir liked being alive after all. He stopped mid step, attention back on the teenager that stood beside him. The sudden crack of thunder had seemed to really rattle the poor kid. “You ok?” he asked despite already know the answer. No, the kid was probably not ok. Probably developing hypothermia while they were at it. “Uh, should we walk faster?” he added not exactly sure how to deal with the scaredy cat. Storms weren’t that big of an issue unless you were around animals. Instead of actually hurrying forward, the pinkette stopped, carefully holding the umbrella above the blonde waiting for him to calm down. He stayed silent giving the guy all the time he needed before finally asking, “Better?”
