Emi couldn't even begin to describe how much she loved shopping in the city. The hustle and bustle added a very movie-esque vibe as she shuffled through the stores. Scanning through the isles and isles of clothes she couldn't help herself as she tried on different outfits, she didn't want to buy anything today (hashtag college student life), she was just looking (what every college student says before she's about to buy a whole store). Coming out of the dressing room, she faced a set of three large mirrors meant to check yourself out from all angles. She twirled to try and catch a glimpse at the back of herself, but before she made a full 720 degrees, she felt her legs twist up with each other and she began to topple down. A large, "AGHHHRHHH!" escaped her mouth as she tumbled to the ground. Or well, she thought it was the ground. She felt something squishy in her hands, taking a large (overly dramatic) gulp she looked down. Emiko had landed on the complimentary snacks table, her dress she was trying on was absolutely covered in food. A vast assortment of snacks mind you - jams, jellies, cheeses, crackers, cakes, cookies, and so much more. A worker made their way over, she had an incredibly discerning look on her face and in that it said it all -- How do you expect to pay for this.[ NOTES WHOOP~ | MUSE GLOW BY ROYAL TEETH ]

Shiori wasn't entirely sure what her job even was. She was certain that the job description was "waitress" but she had done so much more – worked as a delivery person, managed the accounts, bought ingredients, and so on, so forth. This day was no exception in terms of randomness: she had been shoved into the kitchen upon arrival, which she guessed was a nonverbal signal to help out the chef. And because her "whys" and "whats" were going ignored on a whole, she went along with it like usual and helped the chef prepare their delicacies to the best of her ability. It was only later on, as she strolled through the shopping district that she realized what she had made the gigantic supply of pastries and crackers for. She had dropped into one of the nearby clothes stores to talk chat with one of her friends, and spotted by the changing rooms. It had been an order from the shop! But not even a full minute later, a young lady flew into the food and decimated it. The friend whom she had been talking to rushed over, a threatening aura practically visible – he could be scary without even trying. Shiori followed him, feeling pity for the girl. She was in quite a mess. "You look a bit scary, Aka-chan," she interjected teasingly, hoping to lighten the mood a bit. "You know," she began, tapping her chin, "the snacks were complimentary for the guests in the first place, so you could write her off as a very hungry lady. The dress though... well, I have no clue." The young lady would probably have to pay for the dress, but if Aka-chan was feeling cooperative, at least the customer wouldn't have to pay for the food as well. we don't have to wait “ we can glow like wildfire ” Not really knowing what to do, Emi tried to brush off the food stains, thinking that it might all magically disappear. She felt tears forming in her eyes, attempting to blink them away she couldn't. Looking down in embarrassment she choked out, "D-do you ta-ake credit cards?" Emi put an extra emphasis on the s, indicating multiple credit cards. If her tuition wasn't enough, now adding this charge on it, she was going to be paying a lot of money always. The green-haired teen blinked back her tears, trying to get them to go back into their ducts. She couldn't cry now, she had to remain strong. In a split second she just couldn't contain it anymore and water poured out of her eyes as if they were faucets. It was sort of comical actually, "How in the world am I going to pay this off? My parents are gonna kill me. Why did I do that? Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh." Word vomit escaped her mouth, she could not contain her feelings any longer, she was speaking so fast it was nearly impossible to keep up with what she was saying, Emiko was frantic. She probably wouldn't survive after this day, she decided, someone was going to kill her -- whether that was her parents or the bank, she didn't know. [ NOTES WHOOP~ | MUSE GLOW BY ROYAL TEETH ]

Shiori felt more and more awkward as the situation progressed. Especially when the girl started crying. Of course she was sympathetic for the girl, but more than that she just didn't know what to do. She didn't even know the girl; she had no idea what she could do to make her feel better. "Uhm... oh! Uh..." she began with some awkwardness, "I think it will be alright! At least you didn't break the table?" She ended her phrase as a question more than a statement, somewhat sure she was, at this point, making it worse than better. She was studying medicine not writing, for god's sake. "Are you alright?" she asked, her forehead creasing with worry. "I'm so sorry," she said. Part of her was tempted to pay – she had more than enough cash – but she didn't want it to be rude or offend the girl. She didn't want her to be mad at her. "Are you hurt anywhere?" she asked. "Ugh I just asked that... sort of, at least." Part of her felt compelled to match the girl's ramblings with one of her own – she felt so impressionable at the moment. She was already slowly becoming more and more frantic, especially as the girl's tears fell down her cheeks. "Oh! Do you need a handkerchief?" she asked, rummaging through her bag before snatching it out and handing it to the girl. HISAKAWA EMIKO► “you're untouchable burning brighter than the sun

we don't have to wait “ we can glow like wildfire ” Like a snap, her mood shifted. Emi stayed sort of still, shaking her head when asking if she was hurt. She kept her golden eyes on the stickler employee. Going back into the dressing room, she changed back into her street clothes. Leaving the dress in the dressing room, she returned back outside. Emi had a plan, when the stranger asked whether or not she needed a handkerchief she comically wiped her nose and eyes in one big, sweeping motion and shook her head. Grabbing this person of whom she had never met's hands and looking at her directly in the eyes, she told her very intensely. "Follow my lead." Then, in a split second, Emi was pulling this person out of the store and on the street. She took a sharp left and just ran down the street. Hopefully, the people at the store didn't notice or have her name down somewhere. She couldn't afford that dress and she wasn't about to try. Once they had made a couple more turns and Emi was pretty sure they were out of sight, out of mind, she stopped. Out of breath she spoke, "Sorry for dragging you with me, I couldn't have you there as a witness." Emi bowed a slight apologetic bow. The girl suddenly ducked into the changing room, to her surprise. Shortly after, she popped out wearing her normal clothes. She grabbed the handkerchief Shiori had offered before wiping her nose and eyes in only one motion – if Shiori had been crying, it would have taken her at least five or ten. Then the girl turned to her. And suddenly they were running. Shiori simply followed the green-haired girl, having simply no idea what else to do. She had always been a bit too passive, and the shock made her incapable of questioning their actions. Only after a few more turns did it dawn on Shiori to maybe ask what they were doing, but by then she was too out of breath to muster a protest. They finally stopped running, and the girl apologized. And suddenly the realization dawned: they just run away from the store. Breathless laughter began tumbling from her lips. "It's fine," she said, through bursts of giggles. "That surprised me though! It was kinda fun." She paused for a moment to gasp in a few more lungfulls of air – honestly, she hadn't done running like that since high school soccer. "You never told me what your name was!" she remember all of a sudden. "I'm Shiratori Shiori. Nice to meet you!"HISAKAWA EMIKO► “you're untouchable burning brighter than the sun
