Fuck he hated shopping for food. It took too long, there were too many little kids being loud in their shopping carts, and he didn't even know what half of this stuff was even for. When he was trying to save a dime, he'd just head straight to the ramen, and according to the basket in his hand he already had.
However, ten packets of beef ramen wasn't going to last till the end of next week.
"Stingy fucking bastard." He grumbled, low and agitated as he glared at the part of the grocery store that had vegtables spread out on large tables. He hated most vegetables, but surely there was something he could use as a filler for his ramen until the end of next week. He had no choice, with only change money in his bank account he couldn't eat out as he always did until he got paid.
Tightening his grasp on the handle of the basket in his hand, he shut his eyes and sighed dismally. Just till next week. After consoling himself with that sentiment, Hide avoided the carts with older woman and their kids and walked around to the green vegetables. Reluctantly picking up a stock of bok choy he wondered what he would eve use it for before, out of sheer curiousity, lifted it closer to his nose and sniffled it. | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

| SINCE I WAS VERY YOUNG, I REALIZED I NEVER WANTED TO BE HUMAN SIZE | 239 WORDS THIS IS SO BAD IM SORRY | He looked clueless, she thought to herself, as she wandered down the vegetable aisle. She had caught sight of a young man looking gravely out of place – the basket on his arm contrasted sharply with his messy appearance and he awkwardly held vegetables whose names he might not even know in his hands. Manners were the only thing that prevented an unsympathetic smirk from breaking out on her features, a realization that made her feel slightly apologetic. After all, it was not her place to judge him, but it had been a long time since she had seen someone sniff bok choy. The freshness of bok choy was discerned by discoloration (or lack thereof), not scent.
She found herself standing next to the boy just moments later – the mustard spinach she had come to the grocery store for was located just next to the bok choy. Standing next to him made her want to cringe. It was as if he had never cooked before in his lifetime. Letting out a slight sigh, Ai could not stop herself from correcting him. "You can't smell the freshness of bok choy," she mumbled, not even sure if he would hear her. She was her quietest around strangers, and considering that some of her closest friends couldn't even hear her when she spoke, she wouldn't be shocked if he bought a bundle of rotten bok choy, having never even heard or registered her warning. | | MADE BY KAIZU OF GS & TWF |

Out of place was perhaps putting it lightly. A six foot tall, black haired, domineering man in the midst of a grocery store full of woman and children made it quite easy for him to stand out. However, he hardly paid much attention to the looks of others. As far as he was concerned they were all just apart of the background, and he'd been doing his job to avoid interaction. That is, until his momentary curiosity was interrupted by the sound of a young woman's voice.
It was quiet, so he didn't register she was even speaking to him until he looked over and saw her. Not having realized she had even moved beside him in the first place he reflexively stiffened, shoulders shrugging as if startled by a ghost before he unintentionally squeezed the poor bok choy in his hands.
Suddenly feeling uncharacteristically vulnerable, he scowled and tossed the now injured vegetable into his basket. "Fuck off." His eyes downcast, and narrowing defensively out of instinct already. Hideo wasn't one to often cause a scene in public, unless on a job. He didn't expect anyone to talk to him, and it wasn't like he was asking her questions.
He walked around her to try and avoid the woman, moving over to look at something else. Honestly he still didn't know what he was doing, but trying to figure it out on his own was better than asking for help. | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |

| SINCE I WAS VERY YOUNG, I REALIZED I NEVER WANTED TO BE HUMAN SIZE | 166 WORDS THIS IS SO SHORT O; | She blinked somewhat in surprise at his hostile reaction. She figured that, at best, he was merely in a bad mood, but at worst, his personality was simply problematic. Not that it's any of my business anyway, she thought to herself as she continued on shopping. Despite her composure, however, she couldn't help being somewhat rattled by his attitude. It had been a while since she had been spoken to so impolitely, though she attributed this mostly to the fact that she spoke to so few people.
She blamed herself, however. If she hadn't wanted any trouble, she shouldn't have spoken to the man in the first place. It had been somewhat naive to think that everyone would take her suggestions as helpful rather than condescending and annoying. She finished shopping a little while later, her basket full of very fresh vegetables. She stepped up to the cash register at the same time another person did, and automatically apologized, backing off to let them go first. | | MADE BY KAIZU OF GS & TWF |

Hideo hadn't met as many people with white hair similar to hers, but he knew what it meant. She sure as hell wasn't his type, and despite the brief glance he'd given her and her figure, her personality was no match for one like his. He was doing her a favor for staving off communication, and considering how she'd reacted he was glad he'd done so.
People like her couldn't handle oppressive types like himself, and he was not going to cater to anyone just to make them feel better.
Having done the rest of his shopping by himself, Hide felt like he was spending too much for all this junk by the time he got to the registers. He could calculate each item in his head over and over, but every time he felt his inner conscience being crippled by the amount of money he was going to fork over when it was his turn.
This month had been so dry, he needed work.
Hideo stepped toward a shorter line, not paying much attention to those around him until he nearly bumbped into another figure smaller than himself. When he glanced down at the woman, he blinked. His reaction followed with a scoff, and he tsked at her before speaking. "Are you stalking me?" The man grumbled. Her apologies were unnecessary, but he felt uncomfortable seeing her a second time.
Whatever the case he stepped before her anyway. "Watch where you're going." | ◀ MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS |
