"move it kinoshita! and don't drop anything!"
"sir, yes sir!" a playful response and an even more playful salute, which resulted in the fall of two bags of sand. "aw shit. look what ya did, sir." amber eyes blinked at the small pile of sand that was starting to leak from one of the bags.
"what i did?" the man growled, large hand reaching over to grab the eighteen-year-old by the back of her collar. yuzu soon found her feet dangling in the air and her blinking eyes turned over her shoulder.
"oh boy, i'm flying! just like i've always wanted!" she said, looking to the site manager,"are you a wish-granting genie suddenly? is that how it works? all this time and i never knew, boss! where's your lamp? i bet'cha lost it long ago and a dog found then buried it underground. that's why we're digging holes, righ-" swinging legs paused mid-action when her attention was suddenly caught by movement on the other side of the fence, when a figure walked down the sidewalk.
not that there was usually no bypassers even during this hour, but what made her curious was how familiar the figure's face was; as if she had seen him before, "oii, you there," yuzu called out, despite the fact that she was still sort of hanging in the air, "have we met b'fore?"
"what're you, hitting on someone while i'm trying to grind your bones into powder?" the site manager barked, shaking the girl that remained in his grip.
yuzu arched a brow as she wriggled herself free, "tch! don't be jealous just 'cause i've seen him before and you haven't! i know what yer thinkin' boss, but i'll play nice and keep my mouth shut around that hot wife of yours."
"about what now?"
"the fact that you're gay and wanna fuck that guy in the ass?" amber eyes blinked innocently as she pointed a thumb at the dark-haired male's way.
something inside the site manager seemed to have snapped, but before he could even pick up one of the dropped bags of sand and aim it at yuzu, the eighteen-year-old had already raced to and climbed the fence. the heavy bag hit the metal bars right when she flipped over it like some sort of gymnast. she landed with a quick stumble before she caught her balance, "man! half a second later and i could've ended up falling on you like some dumbass shoujo manga chick." she said with a laugh, staring up to the male, "i got it, though, you're that actor guy, ain'tcha? the one that appeared in all those movies... i mean, god knows what they're called but, how 'bout an autograph or a pic? might as well put all that fame into good use, huh?" <3 | "Damn,"
Sometimes filming would go incredibly smooth and they would end up ahead of schedule. This generally caused the director to become uncharacteristically jolly and occasionally, Hikaru and his co-stars would be allowed to leave early. Today was the exact opposite though. Due to several screw ups by both the actors and the crew, they had gotten even less done, they were even held back.
Probably explains why I'm the only one around, Hikaru thought to himself as he staggered down the sidewalk. Admittedly, he had kind of been off his game today and the director had been screaming at him much more than he was at the others. Although he wasn't the only one at fault, he couldn't help but feel that they were behind on schedule because of him but you could never tell from just looking at him.
He darted his eyes, noticing that there was some manual labor being done. At the very least, he was happy to see some other people even if it was likely that they were only there because it was apart of their job, not because they wanted to be. The weird thing was the scene that was unfolding just across the street though - a man was holding a girl by the back of her collar, the girl's legs dangling.
"Violence in the workplace?" he murmured quietly when he saw that the girl had spotted him to. Suddenly, she was calling out to him from across the street, asking if they had ever met before. He had almost wanted to call back but refrained from doing so. When she pointed at him, Hikaru stopped walking.
The girl was running now and somehow, she had managed to jump the face that had divided the two of them. From afar, she seemed small enough considering that the man was able to lift her up into the air with a single hand. She was small close up too, Hikaru noted.
He looked down at her while she spoke, staring at her. He had hesitating a good few moments after she had finished before he decided to reply. For some reason, he was under the impression that she would suddenly disappear if he just waited, as though this random girl was just the embodiment of all of his stress.
When it became apparent that was clearly not the case, only then did he speak but even so, he had ignored everything that she had said to him. "Who are you?"

towards all that she had spouted, the dark-haired male, for some reason or another, only responded with a mere question of his own; a very, very simple (and perhaps on some levels, understandable), question. "who am i?" yuzu returned in english: heavily-accented, sure, but english nonetheless, "i'm spiderman." she said, gaze serious despite the lack thereof in her voice. nose wrinkled moments later, and her mouth was quick to break into a toothy grin as she took a step back.
"i dunno~ what're y'curious about? or does it actually matter at all? i mean, i'd assume that someone like you'd be pree used to being recognized on the streets." head tilted to one side. well, unless she'd just 'recognized' the wrong person, which could very well be the case. "i'm rarely wrong about stuff like that, though." she reassured herself with a nod even if she was never better at such a thing than the average people.
"but i guess it's only... what is it, polite and civil to introduce yourself b'fore bombarding the other person." at this, her right hand shot forward, offering itself to the blacklette for a mocking handshake of sorts, "kinoshita yuzu, but kino will do; or maybe 'shit-a' or 'yuzu,' if you're into puns and first-name-basis," with a shrug of her shoulders, she grabbed at the man's hand carelessly.
her other hand, however, slid into a pocket of her overall as she went on to ignore the site manager's yells from behind her, "now, how 'bout that autograph? will ya sign my helmet?" yuzu said, tapping at said helmet (which was on her head) with the end of the sharpie she'd just pulled out, "and maybe some sorta chitchat; i've always wanna know what it's like to talk to a famous pers- dude, do the paparazzi follow you around usually? heh! most likely, yer an actor for god's sake!" though the sharpie was now being forced upon the blacklette, yuzu's gaze was actually on everything but him; maybe she would end up in tomorrow's tabloid headline if she was lucky: how cool was that? <3 | He took a single step back, yet his face was unflinching showing no sign of the nervousness that he was beginning to feel. He turned his head for a second to where the man who Hikaru supposed was her boss should have been but it seemed like he was making no move to accost his run amok employee, or not yet anyway. At the very least, it seemed that this girl knew who he was but in Hikaru's eyes, she had very little idea who she was. Either that or she was just playing with him.
He began to massage his temple as he outstretched his right hand right in front of the girl's face, attempting to process the situation. It seemed like she had recognized him, probably from a magazine rather than a full fledged fan considering the fact that she was unable to put a name to his oh so handsome face. When he had finished thinking, he looked her straight in the eye only to find that she had outstretched her own hand, as though expecting a handshake.
"Yuzu it is then," he murmured reluctantly as he took her up on her offer with the firm grip that he had mastered after years of being in the political scene. His father had told him years ago that you could discern a strong man from a weak one by their handshake. Limp handshakers were often more "open" to suggestions than the firmer ones.
Her boss was shouting now but she seemed to ignore him. Deciding that his conversation was strangely worthwhile after all, Hikaru followed her example. Slightly more willing than before, he took the sharpie, using his weaker hand to hold the helmet still (which was difficult since it was still on her head) before quickly scribbling his name.
"We could talk," he began. "But it looks like you're needed elsewhere," he motioned towards her shouting boss, his cries and shrieks becoming slightly unbearable on Hikaru's ears.

"cool, so it's first-name-basis already. i can roll with that." the redhead smirked, hand playfully squeezing his before loosening it. a light smack against the same hand soon followed suit, as well as the signature upon her helmet.
"whoa! that felt funny," her head tilted from side to side for a moment after he was done with the autograph, as though the fact that he had held it while signing it was making her dizzy. well, maybe not so, exactly, but it's always weird when pressure was applied upon the head, big or small.
another shout, one louder than before, came barging into her train of thoughts. the eighteen-year-old groaned at this and with a flare of her upper lip, yuzu reached over to grab hold of his wrist, "then we just gotta go somewhere where i'm not, hah?" she said, flashing a wide grin to the dark-haired man before glancing over to the other side of the fence.
"oii, sada-san!" yuzu called out, waving her free hand at a coworker.
"taking off early again? it's the third time this month, yuzu." the coworker arched a brow at her as he, nevertheless, tossed the girl her messenger bag.
"yeah, and that's why-" "i'll come in early t'morrow, boss! promise!" the girl said as she hurriedly directed her cheeky grin at the site manager. "and uhh! coffee's on me t'morrow, too, how's that? and you'll each get a pack of smokes-... ah, actually i dunno if i can afford that. maybe next time." amber eyes blinked a bit as she pointed to hikaru, "since we're goin' to the love hotel now."
"what-"
"just kiddin'! don't tell the paparazzi or whatever, eh? pree sure he'll really get it if it spreads." eyebrows wiggled. then, the eighteen-year-old gave the two construction site workers a salute, "well! see ya later!"
gaze flicked to hikaru. feet began to move down the block as her hand still gripped onto his wrist, "where d'ya wanna go? mcdonald's? or are we really hittin' a love hotel? do you go to those expensive ones? do they really have turning heart-shaped beds and see-through shower stalls?" LAIKA OF GS!

<3 | Without warning, she had already grabbed his wrist and said some words that Hikaru could barely hear, not because she was inarticulate but rather because he was still adjusting to her grip be it tight or loose. She was addressing someone else now, not him, but someone who was still beyond the face and after a quick conversation, Yuzu had her messenger bag.
He listened as they continued to speak, deciding to keep his mouth shut. After all, their work day routines had nothing to do with him and whether or not Yuzu treated everybody to coffee and cigarettes tomorrow had no direct affect on Hikaru and how he would go about his day tomorrow. Of course, at that last statement he had no choice but to interject.
"What are you saying? Don't give people the wron-," it had come out much more softly than Hikaru had intended and he was almost hundred percent sure that she didn't hear him scolding her but at the very least, Yuzu cleared up the misunderstanding at least somewhat. Eventually, she had begun moving again, her hand still wrapped around his wrist.
For a second, he contemplated trying to pry her fingers off of him but eventually relented against it as she had thrown a question his way. "Yes, I do. And yes, they do have all those things. But you won't find out. At least not today," he said, only somewhat irritated before letting out a sigh. "McDonald's sounds good," although he did not sound as enthusiastic as he would have liked to.

"what's wrong with just goin' there?" the multi-colour-haired girl asked, staring at the blacklette in obvious surprise. maybe there was only one thing on this guy's mind whenever he hit up a love hotel. that was probably it since, well, that's what most people would have in mind, then. not kinoshita yuzu though. not necessarily. whatever was fun was good, whether it involved sex or not.
but then again, it was probably really that tough for a public figure whose every movement was very likely closely examinated. "well, next time then! i'll call you or somethin' when y'feel like going with me," she said with a wide grin despite the fact that she didn't have hikaru's number and chances were, wouldn't ever. but teasing others was a privilege and a personality trait that she would never give up.
actually, thinking about it, wouldn't going to mcdonald's get him into some sort of trouble, too? the kinoshita blinked, almost stupidly as she looked around her, "where do the paparazzi usually hide, anyway? in the bushes like peeping toms?" brows furrowed slightly as she stared at a nearby sidewalk shrubbery as they walked passed it. her grip on the male's wrist loosened and she suddenly walked over to another shrubbery. "aha!!" yuzu yelled, sweeping her palms through the leaves as though to reveal some sort of crouching figure.
but it was empty.
her shoulders sagged, "huh. i thought i was better at it than this." looking somewhat dejected, the eighteen year old trotted back to walk alongside of hikaru this time. her hands reached upward and unclasped the strap of her helmet. she fastened the helmet to her messenger bag at her side, and patted down her overall, dusting it briefly, "better prep myself though, incase i ended up in the newspaper tomorrow," at this, she flashed hikaru a quick grin and a thumbsup, all the while she continued walking...
until she suddenly took off and dashed to a tree, "got'cha!!" yuzu yelled, reaching behind the tree but again, there was only empty space, "dammit!"
dejected once again, she returned to hikaru's side with a frown, "man, no wonder you guys accidentally end up as headlines of tabloid magazines; these people're like well-trained ninjas!" maybe that's what modern ninjas did for a living. LAIKA OF GS!

<3 | "Well, what's the point of just going there?" he retorted. The high end and "classy" love hotels that she was talking about cost a lot of money but it was inevitable that you would eventually find yourself there if you had to sneak around. Besides, that wasn't even the big problem. Even if they didn't do anything, people would still get the wrong idea.
He had almost want to hit her, not a straight out punch intended to knock someone out but a quick yet stern bop on the head but he had refrained from doing so. Although she acted overly familiar and guiltily, so did he, this girl was pretty much a stranger to him. How could he lay his hands on her?
Also, she seemed like the kind of person who would make a big deal over it and seeing "Mishima Hikaru, woman beater," on tomorrow's headlines did not really entice him. Before he knew it, she had already begun exploring the bushes for sleazy cameramen looking for a quick buck. He watched with amusement giving sheepish smiles to anyone who stared for longer than a couple of seconds.
"You'll never end up on the front page of a newspaper walking with me," he told her seriously when she returned, not returning the thumbs up nor the grin that she had given him. "At the very most, a sleazy tabloid magazine," he added.
"Ninjas? If that were the case, they could make a great contribution to society than just snapping compromising photos," he mused. "Tch, screw it," he said uncharacteristically as he grabbed Yuzu by the wrist, similar to how she had done to him earlier.
"Maybe we can go to a love hotel."

at his proclaim on how unlikely it was for them to end up in the newspaper, yuzu, still frowning, rubbed at her chin with a hand, "not unless we get mugged sometime t'night, you're right," she said ever so thoughtfully, as though it was really something to take into consideration, "but being in a tabloid magazine is a good first step too i guess. i'll end up totally famous for a day and that's all that matters." she gave a loud, carefree laugh at the thought, her hands casually falling into the pockets of her overall.
"heh! what'd they do, anyway? become international spies? japan'd prolly end up ridiculously rich then." an amused laugh escaped her mouth, "can y'imagine if-" her continuation of the possible use of ninjas came to a pause, however, at the young man's outburst of sorts. one of the hands that was nesting comfortably inside her pocket was now pulled out, when her wrist suddenly found itself in his grasp.
"uhh?" amber eyes gave more stupid blinks as yuzu looked down to their connection. her other hand now had no choice but to come out of the pocket as well, just so she could readjust the messenger bag strap that was running diagonally across her body, "what, are y'suddenly sexually frustrated or somethin'?" an eyebrow arched, as she gave yet another laugh, "i thought ya didn't wanna? or, wait," her feet came to a sudden stop when a thought hit her, though soon returned to that same walking pace again, "you're letting down yer guard now, huh? yanno, you'd prolly be in for a helluvah surprise by now, if it's a closet-fangirl lying about not wantin' to do-the-do with ya."
thinking about it, wasn't he lucky. despite being rather streetsmart, kinoshita yuzu was generally quite the good-natured girl; honest, above all else, unless she was in the mood for some sort of mischievous entertainment. but for the most part, she was still a girl with enough compassion for others. most of the time, anyway. "so? what's with the sudden change of mind? the paparazzi only care 'bout whether you're goin' in or not. you... know that, right? 'cause i mean, you should, since even i do?" LAIKA OF GS!
